My Story

From knocking on doors for lawn-mowing cash to building businesses that run without me.

I was never much good at school. Never paid attention. But from as young as I can remember, I was wheeling and dealing — buy something, sell it or swap it for something better. I knocked on doors to mow lawns for cash. Before I ever had a business, I was buying cars at auction and selling the parts on eBay and Gumtree. That hustle funded my first workshop, All Automotive Solutions — no investors, no capital, just graft.

That’s where I learned my hardest lesson, over and over. I could build a business. I could grow a team. But I couldn’t lead one. So I’d build it up, watch it strain, let the team go, and go back to working on my own. Then I’d do it all again.

All Automotive Solutions. Komplete Tuning — twice. Same arc every time: solo, to a team, to back on my own. I built good businesses and good reputations, then let them dwindle because the bottleneck was never the business. It was me.

In 2019 I started working on myself. It began as a business journey and quickly became a personal one — I realised I had to grow for the business to grow. I found a mentorship program that changed everything. I didn’t even know what a standard operating procedure was. I knuckled down, learned, and the business grew with me.

“I can’t lead anyone else if I’m not leading myself first.”

That was the turning point. Self-leadership before team leadership — everything else follows from it.

These days Komplete Tuning runs a national network of 16 dealers I remote-tune for, from anywhere in the world — about five hours a week. A business that finally runs without me. And I’ve kept building: Longevity Medical, Longevity Healthcare — a doctor-led telehealth clinic — and National Earthmoving Hire.

Different industries. Same mission.

Build something real — and this time, build it to last.
